On October 17 (Thursday), a theft took place at the residence of Amjad Hossain Bachchu, a member of Srimangale Business Association and journalist.

Member of Srimangal Press Club and member of Business Association Daily Bhorer Dak Srimangal representative, Moulvibazar district representative of weekly ‘Holy Sylhet’ newspaper, and news editor of Bangladesh Pratikshan Patrika Md. Amjad Hossain Bachchu late night on Thursday 17th October, someone or someone found a lot of things including computer, laptop. Destroyed papers and looted mobiles, cash, valuables.

The family claims that this kind of incident has happened to them several times, but unfortunately, the administration has not been able to find out the correct information about any of the incidents. Therefore, it is a strong demand of Srimangal’s conscious community to identify the culprits and take legal action, subject to a fair investigation of the matter to the administration.
Meanwhile, on receiving the information about the theft, Srimangal police station visited the spot on Friday morning, according to police sources. Aminul Islam, officer-in-charge of Srimangal police station, told “Holy Sylhet” that a case is being taken regarding this incident, besides, the police are trying to unravel the mystery of the incident. However, no one has been arrested till the time of writing this report.
